Oiling your sewing machine
Common signs that your sewing machine needs oil are squeaking, grinding, sluggishness and similar type issues. If and when required, only one or two drops of oil are sufficient in any one place. The most common place a sewing machine requires oil is the hook or shuttle, which should get one drop of oil every 8 hours of machine usage.
